Jumelle
Womens Clothing And Accessories Boutique
In 2006, Candice Waldron opened Jumelle on Williamsburg's bustling Bedford Avenue. Jumelle features a mix of emerging and established American and international designers... over 2o designers are represented. The well edited collection can be described as eclectic elegance, integrating modern, classic, bohemian and vintage styles. New York magazine named Jumelle one of Brooklyn's must visit boutiques and Jumelle was named the best Brooklyn shop for the year 2006 on Citysearch.
Prior to opening Jumelle Candice Waldron was an Emmy-nominated broadcast journalist and television producer. During her ten year career she held various positions at PBS, ABC News, NBC News and CNN. Most recently she worked as producer or Bill Moyers on the PBS series, "NOW"
A long time fashion aficionado, Candice has closely followed the industry with all the determination and curiosity that she brought to her journalism career. The opening of Jumelle fulfills her desires to be self employed and indulge her fashion pursuits while maintaining a sense of social consciousness and balanced honesty she learned as a journalist.
Jumelle means twin in French- the owner has a twin sister, Carla Waldron who is the store's manager.
