Linda Loudermilk

Design with a higher purpose

Eco fashion pioneer and innovator continues to inspire with her fabulous spring collection. Her designs captivate with such luxurious fabrics, brilliant prints and avant garde silhouettes all constructed with a fine eye for detail. Drawing upon the inspiration of nature, Linda Loudermilk's silk vegan tunics are simply amazing. The silk is harvested without killing the silk worm and then printed in touchingly original print designs named to draw attention to environmental issues and themes such as deforestation, cali fire, as well as the creation of earth and the hope series of faith and honor. Fashion forward dresses and separates fabricated in seaweed, lyocell, bamboo, organic cotton, silk charmeuse and silk mousseline all stand out as eco conscious fashion treasures

Coined as the “Vivienne Westwood of eco” by Elle Magazine, Loudermilk has spearheaded the creation of a new, luxury eco™ lifestyle, blowing old concepts of environmental living out of the water.* She is recognized as the first to identify and successfully market to the luxury eco™ consumer. Through her revolutionary designs and radical spirit, Loudermilk has redefined sustainability as something alluringly sexy, fun and edgy. Linda’s personal mission is to influence change on the planet and change within ourselves, the consumer, as we and the planet are unavoidably connected and truly interdependent. Linda’s purpose is to ignite expressiveness, encourage clarity in the choices of daily life and through awareness bring about gratitude of this planet, our home, within which we reside and from which we are fed. Her design, practice and materials are brought together mindfully from her core. Six years ago, Loudermilk had made it to the Paris runways and the top of high fashion. In that moment she should have been rejoicing in the accolades. Instead, she felt empty. In Loudermilk’s own words, “I was creating beauty, but beauty without change.” She realized then that she wanted to make a difference in the world, to shift the way people think about the earth.

With groundbreaking passion, she began researching products that are sustainable, by meeting with and learning from scientists and seeking out companies that create fibers without pesticides or other toxic processes. She developed relationships with manufacturers that do not poison the water supply as they have a consciousness about their effect on the earth. Loudermilk insists that infusing the already creative world of design with eco-responsibility is profoundly desirable and packs an iconoclastic punch . She trademarked the term luxury eco™, becoming the first designer to create a luxury+eco lifestyle brand under one umbrella—made from the sustainable fabrics that she researched and developed, targeted towards the most demanding luxury consumer. She is committed to putting new textiles on the industry map, like those woven from natural sources including bamboo, seaweed, corn and even milk! According to Loudermilk, nature is the original punk. Her inventive style landed her on the cover of the Wall Street Journal and ranges from noirish suits—to sculptural, sexy dresses— to jeans cut deadly on the hip. That flair for the dramatic comes innately to Loudermilk, who studied Shakespeare and costume design at Oxford University in England “one of the world’s leading academic institutions.” Loudermilk’s intuitive sense of tailoring, passed down from her couturier grandmother and experience as a sculptor is the very foundation from which she embellished upon in becoming what she is today. Linda’s fine designs are passionately hand made, 95% of which is done in Los Angeles.

Beyond revolutionary design, Loudermilk is bringing together the global pioneers who are producing “green” and “gold” at the same time. By establishing the luxury eco™ Stamp of Approval, she seeks to identify those who are also breaking new round in their respective fields. The emblem is a message to the consumer that the products or services are not only ecofriendly – but also superior in luxury quality, design and craftsmanship. It is the only Luxury Certification.

Loudermilk’s mission is to define every aspect of life as radically and decidedly eco-responsible. Her extraordinary vision and commitment to research and product development have established her as an authority and positioned her company years ahead of the competition in understanding how to generate sustainable profits in this emerging market. For Loudermilk, there is no question: change is inevitable. It is the only way to the future.

Luxury Eco

Luxury Eco
Award-winning designer Linda Loudermilk is spearheading the creation of a new, eco-chic lifestyle, blowing old concepts of environmental living out of the water. Her eco-friendly designs have graced the stage of the Academy Awards and have been featured in key magazines, TV and on the Internet. She trademarked the term luxury eco™, becoming the first designer to create a “luxury” and “eco” lifestyle brand under one umbrella—all made from the sustainable fabrics that she esearched and developed. In addition to her extensive research, Loudermilk’s designs are not only produced using the most superior methods and resources, but they are also intricately detailed, individually hand finished and mostly made in the USA. The result? Truly a superior design in which to lavish in while serving a higher purpose.

Leveraging the Loudermilk couture line, the company is the first to identify and successfully market to the luxury eco™ consumer. The Loudermilk brand blends the fashion LUXURY of Bergdorf Goodman into every aspect of LIFESTYLE products of the new eco customer. By establishing the luxury eco™ Stamp of Approval, Loudermilk seeks to help consumers make intelligent decisions by identifying other global tastemakers who are also pioneering in their respective fields. The emblem is a consumer guarantee that a product or service is not only eco-friendly – but also superior in luxury quality, design and craftsmanship.

Linda Loudermilk
This groundbreaking vision and commitment to research and product development have established Loudermilk as an authority and positioned the company years ahead of the competition in understanding how to generate sustainable profits in this emerging market. Through multi-leveled development and distribution Loudermilk intends to expand all sectors of retail, including: Select Department Stores, Specialty Boutiques, Mass Market and luxury eco™ Corporate Services. It is the synergy in this combined approach that enables the Loudermilk brand to dominate the marketplace it has been instrumental in creating in order to meet the ever-demanding eco-consumer.

The luxury eco™ stamp of approval is an accreditation given to the top echelon of green products, services, and business processes. This exclusive endorsement is generally reserved for those companies and individuals who are innovators in their fields. The term luxury eco™ is not necessarily determined by price point; as luxury eco™ denotes unparalleled craftsmanship, unprecedented design, and unrelenting soul.

The Loudermilk luxury eco™ line is all about great designs that pack an iconoclastic punch. The pieces are first and foremost made in the grand tradition of Parisian couture and aggressive designer, and secondly birthed out of the most avant garde fabrics seen today--all sustainable. Luxury eco™ is a brand which shakes the foundations of style, lifestyle and our choices in the products we buy. It makes no apologies for being eco -chic because it stops traffic every time. Linda Loudermilk studied Shakespeare and costume design at Oxford University in England with an intuitive sense of tailoring passed down from her couturier grandmother. After honing her design skills as a sculptor and on the Paris runway, she returned to Los Angeles to launch Linda Loudermilk and with it, the luxury eco movement. The luxury eco™ category was not inspired by some predictable sense of patchouli -smelling do -gooderism. From the fabrics to the clothing to the brand, luxury eco reflects the respect Linda Loudermilk has for nature. Forget hemp tunics. Fabrics are developed from sasawashi, bamboo, sea cell, soya and other exotic self-sustaining plants that go into clothes and honor nature in ethos. Luxury eco™ aims to give eco glamour legs with the message that eco can be edgy, loud, fun, playful, and hyper-cool.
